One of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. Life is stressful for most people, and if you’re looking for support and guidance to help you cope, please reach out, I’d love to talk. My goal is to assist you in accessing your inner power and to help you find the answers that lie within.
I am here to listen, validate, and help transform using a compassionate and non-judgmental approach during therapy. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort, and in this partnership, we will strive to achieve your highest potential in which your mind and heart are in perfect balance.
Utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive, behavioral, and mindfulness-based therapies, I have helped clients deal with anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, and grief. I am also a certified Somatic Experiencing® Skills practitioner and use a body-oriented approach while treating trauma. In sessions, I guide my clients to focus on their physical sensations by way of practice exercises such as breathwork, visualization, grounding, and sensation awareness work to help clients release the trauma that has been trapped within their bodies.
When working with clients, I carefully tailor my approach to each individual client to ensure the best possible outcome.
In my profession, I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
I am licensed as an LMSW in the state of Tennessee, and currently pursuing an LCSW licensure. I hold a BA in English from the State University of New York and earned a graduate degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University.
When I am not working, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and spending time with my husband and our two sons, and our dog Maggie.
