    Kristen Carlosh

I genuinely believe each person is their own best therapist. However, sometimes we hit the wall, we can’t understand how we ended up here, or how we are supposed to get back on the path. The work of therapy isn’t easy, it can be painful, and overwhelming… lonely. My goal is to help you through that time, to help you grow, and to understand more fully how to achieve the life that you want. I love helping others achieve a healthy relationship with themselves and I feel privileged to stand beside my clients as they face their problems, sharing my wisdom, knowledge, and training in mental healing.

My work with clients is uniquely tailored for each person, but that said, I offer specific treatments related to depression, stress management, anxiety and panic disorders, trauma recovery, and suicide. The types of therapy I utilize (ACT & RCT) give me a way to help others communicate their story, attend to the meaning they are making, and develop awareness about the things they hold valuable and that they want to understand. Using a deep awareness of the impact of cultural and systemic influences, I can then orient to my client’s sense of belonging and connection with the world around them. This gives me a way to communicate the impact of those systems on my client’s development of mind, heart, spirit, and body (holism) through their lifelong journey into a more profound understanding of what that means.

I know and respect the very real impact of life on our mental health and wellbeing. When we add trauma into the mix, sometimes it feels like we are broken. I want you to know, I don’t look at you that way, but I do think you need help. We all need help sometimes. I have made it my life’s work to help people love themselves and their lives again. I hope you will trust me with your process. I am comfortable with all client age groups and available for individual, family, or couples therapy sessions.
