From professional and personal experience, I know that life does not always go as we may have planned. I am passionate about helping individuals work through unexpected events, as well as past experiences that may be causing current issues and disconnect in life. As I work with individuals, one of my primary goals is to help my clients feel heard, seen, and respected. I have worked with a variety of life stages including ages 4-70. I have experience working in a variety of settings including hospitals, colleges, recovery centers, private practice, foster care, and international work. I have worked with people in relation to anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, relational disconnect, and childhood and domestic violence abuse.
I use evidenced based practices which are unique and individualized to every client. I believe that it is important to help people develop a lifestyle that matches one’s values and beliefs…whatever that may be. I believe that one of the most important aspects to therapy is the counseling relationship that is formed within the therapy room and consider it a huge honor to walk alongside my clients for a period of time.
Professionally, I am licensed as an LPC-MHSP(t) in the state of Tennessee as well as being a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have specialties in trauma, addictions, and with EMDR. I have experience working with diverse populations and am open to working with teens, adults, and families.
